Foid Cards Are Unconstitutional

Updated: Feb 10

Should we demand that voters pay a fee and have a waiting period to get a voter registration card?

Many including myself, believe the FOID card is unconstitutional. That does not mean we are enemies of the government as the Madison County Democrats suggest. Voting is a constitutional right, but the Democrats would be up in arms if we suggested that people pay a fee and have a waiting period to get a voter registration card. The right to keep and bear arms is an individual right clearly stated in the constitution. They seem to think that that right should be subject to government approval though a government issued card that we must pay for and then have waiting periods to actually receive a firearm. The basic right to self defense should not be subject to government approval, look at the multiple articles on Mexico where thousands have been murdered and dumped in mass graves. Mexicans supposedly have the right to have firearms, but it is nearly impossible for a law abiding citizen to get a permit or firearm. The FOID card and waiting periods are out of date as there is an instant check system in place to confirm that an individual is not a prohibited person. We are in danger when owner or firearm databases are produced. A tyrant like Hitler created such a database before he seized the private firearms then subjugated the people.
